New Whip

It was only a matter of time before Dad (salesman of the month!!) came across a deal that was too good to pass up while working at McDonough Toyota. We've been keeping our eyes out for something to replace the 4-Runner for a while now and jumped at the opportunity to upgrade for about the same payment. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED the 4-Runner and wish that I could buy the new '10 model, but those wishes will be put on hold for the next few years. In the meantime, the '03 Runner was up to 113,000 miles, needed new tires, and was sucking down some gasoline.

So, we traded the 4-Runner in on an '06 Avalon XLS. This is the first car that we've been able to find that suited all of my, as Rich likes to call them, "high maintance" needs like leather and a V6 engine, as well as our price range. If I'm going to drive a car, it needs to be a fast one because I drive like a man, but comfortable as well, hence the heated leather seats. There is just something about cloth that I dislike now that I'm used to leather. Yes, I know I sound snotty, but I don't buy expensive clothes, make-up is a once a year Walmart run, and haircuts come around twice a year these days.
We've been quite pleased with the purchase so far and keep finding additional upgrades that we didn't know that it had! It is a one owner that was serviced at McDonough every 3,500 miles and is in excellent condition inside and out. In fact, it looks identical to the '10 Avalon in the dealership's showroom and that is exactly what our neighbors thought we bought. Boy were they surpised that it was an '06! As a bonus, Hailey's carseat matches the beautiful exterior color!

Feast your eyes on the beast:)

(Did I really marry him???)
