My aunt, Becky, is in surgery right now to remove abnormal cells from her cervix. This is the most invasive treatment, other than hysterectomy, for cervical cancer. The procedure that they are doing is called a cold knife cone biopsy. If that doesn't send shivers down your spine, I'm not sure what will! Becky sent me a detailed description of the procedure and now I wish she had not...Yikes! She will hopefully be able to return home this evening barring any complications. She will be off her feet for two weeks of recovery and we pray that the slides come back with all abnormal cells removed.

Update on Bill...still at home, but has not been feeling well this week. Poor guy can not catch a break! Our families are ready for 2010 and some better luck!
