My Classroom!

I realized today that I never posted any pictures of my classroom at the beginning of the year. It probably would have been better to do it then when everything was nice and clean and organized, but it's still in pretty good shape. Megs sent me a picture of her cubicle last spring because I really could not imagine what it must be like to be in an office building. Hopefully this will give you all an idea of where I spend 8-11 hours a day! Okay, maybe not the entire time I'm at work because I eat my lunch outside, hold After Study in the library, and run with the kiddos in the morning, but for the most part this is my home.

(View from my door)

(Again from my door, but now you can see my Pteranadon hanging from the ceiling and the Green Town projects about the cabinets)

(Computer station, compliments of teaching photography)

(My empty desk and bookshelf...they get too dusty to leave anything out!)

(Mandalas that my Design class created last year cover my glass cabinets, student journals for each class and more Green Towns...)

(Another example of my organization OCD...this is what the inside of all of my cabinets look like. The only thing that would make me happier is to have all of the same type of containers to make it look more uniform. I know, I know I'm crazy.)

I'm grateful:
  • That I got to choose my new classroom four years ago when the 6th grade wing was added! I did not want to be next to the other science room because I did not know who the "new" science teacher would be. This room is an upgrade to say the least from my last interior room with no windows or ceiling mounted projector.
  • For the full size refrigerator that is in my HUGE classroom closet. The fridge, microwave, and sink make my closet a kitchen:) Good thing for me because I eat just about every class!
  • That Anne made me the adorable wooden letters for my whiteboard that read "objectives" and "homework". She is very creative!
