...But Outback will do for our 4th Anniversary dinner:) My parents gave us a gift card to Outback, so we took Evan and met them there for dinner. Our dinner was good, but it took forever to get our food. It's a good thing we loaded up on cheesy fries and bread. However, I'm still craving Roy's famous chocolate souffle. I suppose I can wait another year. In the meantime, Jessica made us some brownies:)
Our anniversary is always bitter sweet as it also marks one more year down without a child of our very own. Four years later, we are still in the same boat, but this year we are officially foster parents and of course we still feel like parents to Hay Hay. I just received an email confirmation that the Cade Foundation received both portions of our application. This year 148 applications were sent in, but we will keep our fingers crossed that our application makes it through the deliberation process and end up with a fertility grant. In the meantime, I am setting up a fund raising team for Race for the Family; more to come soon.
In the meantime, here are some memories from 4 years ago...

you guys are just as beautiful as ever! another year down, but look at how much has changed. life doesn't always give us answers...more questions than anything it seems, but you all are some of the best folks i've ever met and am so blessed to know you and have you in my life! don't ever lose faith.
