I finally got a break from work this week, only summer school and tutoring. What better way to celebrate some time off than hitting the gym?! No, I'm not being my usual sarcastic self. Those of you who know me well, know that I truly enjoy working out and would do it everyday if I had the time. Well, this week I made it three days and managed to work legs, back and biceps, and shoulders and biceps again. I still need to get in to do chest and triceps before the week is over and hopefully another round of my weakest point, legs. I'm getting in some cardio by walking the dogs four times a day (Jack twice, the other three twice), but it's not enough. I hope to add running into my routine next week and shed some of these unwanted pounds! In the past, my best results came when I was doing 30-60 minutes of cardio 4-5 times a week and alternating my lifting schedule from moderate to heavy, each body part once a week. Muscle Milk (protein) taken in the morning and post-workout gave me the most gains a couple of years ago, so I started drinking it again this week.
I'm feeling VERY motivated in the workout department, but not so willing to give up the ice cream and Mexican food right now. I figure that I can work on one thing at a time and hopefully go back to school a much leaner me:)
