The last CT scan that Bill had showed spots in his legs. This would explain why he has been unable to get and move around much. The doctors are still in disagreement about what the spots are, either cancer or an infection. In order to make a diagnosis, he was scheduled for a biopsy yesterday morning. However, Thursday evening Carol called and said that Bill was acting disoriented. When he went in for the biopsy yesterday his vital signs were all over the place so they sent him to the ER. At this point, Rich was already with him because he had to help Carol get him into the car to take him to the appointment.
I met them at the ER to pick up Evan and take the kids to visitation with their mom and sister. Once visitation was over, we went back to UVA and picked up Rich so that he could get his truck from his dad's house. I ended up going back home with the kids, picking up Hay Hay, and just waiting on updates because only two people were allowed in the room at a time.
They finally admitted Bill at 1:00 this morning without many answers. They attempted to do multiple CT scans, but each time they did there was an additional problem. The first time he was moving around too much so they gave him something to relax him. This caused his blood pressure to drop to 56 over 32, so they had to pump him with fluids. The last update that I got from Rich around 1:30 am is that they were attempting another CT scan and there was some issue with Bill's kidneys. Rich spent the night at Carol's house and I'm waiting on a phone call to let me know when they get back to the hospital. It seems like Bill has been going downhill quickly, so please continue to send your prayers.

sending lots of patience, faith and hugs your way.
Many, many prayers continue to be sent your way, Rich and Dana. I am so very, very sorry/sad to hear that Bill's not doing well at all. Try to keep the faith and remember that miracles do happen...just have faith that God will do what's best for Bill at this time. Please let me know if I can do anything to help you guys. I'm thinking about and praying for all of you.
