Snowy Weekend

I'm pretty sure this is the most snow we've had in a winter since 1996. I am not going to complain about it one bit either. I happen to love the white stuff; that is until it isn't white anymore. We got 8-10 inches this weekend, but it was much more fluffy and light compared to the last storm a few weeks ago. Rich got called out to do some more snow removal which was great because we could use the money.

I'm a little worried because he has been sick since the beginning of December. It started with his sinuses and then escalated after three days of doing snow removal during the last storm. He's on his second round of antibiotics, tussinex, and prednisone. I know working in frigid temperatures until 2:00 am this morning did not help the cough. He is out cold right now hopefully recovering from all of his hard work yesterday. If the forecast is right, it looks like we may be in for another storm at the end of the week!

This week will mark the third Monday that I've had off from school. The first one was a workday, the second was because of flooding, and now I'm off because of the snow. I could seriously get used to four day work weeks!

I intended to get out and take some pictures of the snow, but between sitting in the recliner watching tv and cleaning the house I didn't get around to snapping very many. I did manage to snap a couple of the dogs. Jack is hysterical. He pounces and then dives under the snow so that all you can see are the tips of his ears. We took all the dogs on a walk today and Jack looked like he was doing the butterfly stroke, diving under the snow and jumping straight up over and over again. I have to get him on video tomorrow. It's a shame we don't have a fence because he would stay outside the entire day playing and burying himself in the snow.
