Jack is BACK

I've been so busy that I think I forgot to mention that Jack has made his return to our household. Mike dropped him off on Christmas day and we've enjoyed having him back minus a few occasions. His hair is not too bad this time of the year which is good considering the house is sparkling clean and he is a much calmer dog now that he is a little older.

The "few" mistakes that he has made occurred during the last two days, maybe because we were preoccupied with all of the cleaning. First of all Tank, or at least that's who we think the culprit is, bit him in the ear so he has a nasty tooth mark and blood on his cute white ear. Secondly, he decided to visit us while painting and ended up with an 8 inch brown stripe on his side. Thirdly, he snatched a whole lemon pepper chicken off the counter last night and ate it! I walked into the living room to find something nasty on the floor which turned out to be the ribcage of the chicken...sick. The worrisome part is that he must have eaten the wings and legs whole. There has been plenty of nasty upset stomach going on, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that nothing is punctured from the bones or we're going to be in for a huge vet bill, and it'll be for our nephew, not even our own pup.

I'm hoping that's the end of the excitement with Jack and he'll go back to sleeping on the couch and being a good boy. I know he needs more exercise, but with these frigid temperatures I can not bare a walk. My face just about froze and broke off when I was out with the dogs this morning.
