Tribute to Bill

Last night was certainly not an easy night as we said our goodbyes to Bill. I quickly put together a video tribute to Bill, so that those who made it to his visitation could celebrate his life and all of the wonderful memories we had with him. The outpouring of family and friends reinforced what we already knew, everyone loved this man.

So, thank you once again for all of the thoughts and prayers that have been sent our way over the last few weeks. It is a tremendous feeling to know how many people cared for Bill and his family. Please continue sending your thoughts and prayers to Rich's family as they move from one stage of grief to another. They will need strength and support to get through this tough time.

Before I forget, I'd also like to mention how thankful I am for the following:

• Thank you to all of the folks that delivered dinner to Carol's house night after night.
• Thank you to all of Bill's children who, one by one, made their way to see their dad and take care of him and his family.
• In particular, thank you to Ted for using your medical expertise and kindness during Bill's last days.
• Thank you to Bobby for providing some comic relief and for your strength and character.
• Thank you to Beth for not only being there for Bill, but for also keeping everything else in order from the dishes to the laundry!
  
• Thank you to Angela for being a shoulder to lean on and taking such good care of Bill and your mom, as well as making the beautiful flower arrangement for visitation.
• Thank you to Randy and Jo for making several long trips down the east coast to support Bill and Carol during this time.
  
• Thank you to my wonderful husband for being so strong during this time and caring so deeply for those around him.
• Thank you to Carol for showing us all what true love and strength really means.
