This week we were able to get both kids registered for schools on this side of the mountain. I was hoping that this would be their decision because it will give me some downtime on my car ride to and from school that I would not have if I was toting them back and forth. It will be a lot easier for us to coordinate therapy, sports, and work for them as well. Evan is hoping to get a job at the new movie theater when it opens in October and Jess will hopefully be playing JV softball in the spring. Evan also decided to go for an Advanced Degree and knock out some additional classes rather than having lots of electives. I couldn't be happier with their decisions and enthusiasm, especially by Evan, now that they have a plan.
The schools here are slightly smaller which is better for both of them as well. School starts on the 17th, so they will have to go back the same day I do:) I hope they enjoy themselves at the beach next week (with some friends) because when they return they'll have one day before the first day! This should give us some time to relax and get back into a routine as well.
Rich will have to get used to his new role as stay-at-home dad;) He should be out of class by 3:00 during the week, so he'll be enforcing homework, running them around town, and getting dinner ready for his breadwinner of a wife:)
