For the last few weeks Rich and I have been working hard on finishing up an infertility grant application. Meghan sent us this information in the fall after hearing about the grant from her mother. It was too late to apply then, but for some reason I thought of it this spring and did so just in time to get everything finished up on time. The grant is through the C.A.D.E Foundation .
The Tinina Q. Cade Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization focused on helping families struggling with and OVERCOMING infertility. In 2005, at 55-years-old, Tinina Q. Cade gave the ultimate sacrifice of love to her child. She carried and delivered her daughters triplet children. The Tinina Q. Cade Foundation strives to serve others struggling to have children with this same spirit of love, encouragement and support.
What I did not realize when I started working on the application is the enormous undertaking it would become. I completely understand why the foundation needs all of the information, but it was a bit overwhelming! We needed everything from personal statements, to taxes, to full medical records and labs, to letters from each of our doctors, to birth and marriage certificates, etc. Luckily, I was able to get copies of everything complete and neatly put into a 3 ring binder to ship off last Friday. The due date is tomorrow, the 15th. I can not wait to receive the confirmation letter that they actually received my package:) I feel like I put my entire life into this thing! It ended up having 163 pages when it was complete.
I am praying that our story, hard work, and dedication pays off with a grant up to $10,000. Last year the C.A.D.E Foundation received 121 applications, of which five or six were awarded grants. We will get the news of whether or not we receive the grant at the end of September. I just hope that I forget about it between now and then because right now September seems like a long way off!

okay, i'm crying...LOVE that you guys did this, LOVE the text on the front, and most of all LOVE YOU GUYS!
Wow, I am really hoping that you and Rich are selected. It sounds like there are fairly good odds that you could be selected? I mean, it isn't like they have 1000 applications, etc. I am sure your submission is way above the "competition" and will give you a leg up against the others! Keep me posted!
I pray all your time and effort pays off. You guys deserve a blessing soon!!
