Dog Poor

Okay, so if we weren't already in the poor house, as of today I think it is a permanent arrangement. We shopped around all the pharmacies for Dixie's insulin and syringes. The cheapest, as expected, was Walmart at a cool $25 per Rx (the next cheapest was $54). I thought this would be the price per month which I had already started to adjust to, but no, this Rx will only get us through 12 days. Yep, so it'll be close to $75/month plus the cost of syringes. I guess we'll be cutting off the cable and installing a satellite to steal from the neighbors. Oh yeah, we already tried that...

And, on a side note, I may be blogging about puke tomorrow. Megan, plug your ears, or stop reading. A minute ago I decided to take Flexeril, which is the muscle relaxant I've been taking every night to help me sleep and keep me from aggravating the TMJ. It has been doing wonders because I am no longer on Topomax, Advil, Excedrin or any other headache medicine. Hallelujah!

Okay, back to the grossness. I popped the pill in my mouth, grabbed the McD's dollar tea and took a big sip. Within a milli-second I remembered that the fresh tea is still in my car and this is the cup that has been sitting on the counter for two days. I didn't know that something could taste this disgusting other than spoiled milk. I already had the pill halfway down my throat so I had to swallow the rest of the tea before I choked. Ughhh. The only way for me to describe the taste, which still doesn't do it justice, is a combination of mold and cleaning products. Quick thinking led me the candy drawer where I inhaled some sour patch kids to try to get the taste out of my mouth, but I'm pretty sure with my weak stomach that rotten, moldy junk that just got ingested is going to come back up shortly. Nice;)
