Foxy is back

After missing our nightly encounters with Mr. Fox for over a week, he has returned with more confidence than ever. A few nights ago I saw him dart out of the bushes in front of our house and run to the backyard. By the time I took Jack outside a couple of minutes later, Mr. Fox trotted across the street, stopped to take a look at us and then ran off. I thought Jack was going to drag me from here to China trying to catch him.

Yesterday, when I took my dogs out back Mr. Fox must have been watching us because he actually barked at us. Dixie barked back and then the whole crew and Mr. Fox barked at each other for a couple of minutes. It was rainy and foggy so I couldn't see him in the shrubbery, but after Googling what a fox sounds like I'm sure that it was our guy! I just hope he continues to come out only at night and or picks a new favorite hiding place.

Maybe "Foxy" is lonely and wants to join your pack...crazy that he would pick your house to hang out with all the dogs coming in and out!
