Another Update

Bill had another seizure once he got to the hospital on Saturday, but thankfully they were able to find a medication that stopped the seizures. Don't get me started on the hospital ordeal because it was a nightmare. Rich had to order the nurses around to get Bill clean sheets and pillows because his mouth was bleeding from when he bit his tongue. It took them all day to get him a room because he wasn't cleared from the last time he was admitted when he had MRSA. They never fully explained why he was having the seizures in the first place, except that it was from swelling in his brain. They said that this was not because of the tumors, but how could it not be related? And, if it wasn't related then why the heck was his brain swelling? Anyhow, he was feeling a lot better on Sunday and was released Sunday afternoon. He is back at home now resting comfortably.

Where do we go from here? Bill can not drive for six months because of the seizures, so that will likely cause some frustration. He has also decided to go on disability, but I'm not sure how that will affect Carol because she needs his health insurance especially with her diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease. Bill may start his radiation treatments this week.

Rich's half-sister, Michelle, is flying in this weekend to spend the week with her dad. I am excited to meet Michelle, since we've never seen each other in person before. Randy and Jo will be going back to MA to take care of some business, but will likely be back soon as well. Beth is scheduled to fly in next week as well. I know that Bill enjoys having his family around to keep his mind off of everything else!
