A Ponytail

Okay, so it took a little bit of water, but I got Hay Hay's hair into a ponytail for the first time this morning. It's amazing what a big girl she is becoming. She wants to do everything herself and she's getting better and better at doing all of these things. She can dress herself, brush hair and teeth (without me having to go behind her), and is such a great helper! We even used the potty in two public restrooms this weekend!


After weeks of not wanting to actually talk to anyone on the phone, now she loves to talk on the phone. She told Uncle Rich to pick her up "TONIGHT" when he was talking to her on Friday, so that we could "play games". When she got here we gave her one of Rich's old cell phones and she ran around pretending to talk to Landon. She kept saying "Landon, you play with me? Landon, you skate with me?" We were watching Apollo skate and Hailey was definitely into it. She "skated" (ran at high speeds) around the coffee table for a good 10 minutes during the Olympics, only taking a break to call Landon.

We were also able to see visit two sets of friends this weekend when we went into town. First we saw Rachel and Jeff. Hailey came out of her shell and had a ball playing with Tyler even though I was afraid she'd freak out because she was begging to see Landon. Rich got to see little Miss Addie for the first time who is doing really well and will not have to have heart surgery after all! Then we headed over to Jennie and Shaun's house so that Hay Hay could see her best friend. She bossed him around the entire time as usual, but he was a good sport:)
