Future Teacher?

During our time stuck inside due to the snow Hailey had plenty of time to take care of her babies. She fed them goldfish, gave them real bottles, changed their diapers, put lotion on their cheeks, put bows in their hair, and finally put them to bed. She was right on with the bedtime routine. They were tucked in nice and tight, given their bottles, and then read to. This might be the cutest thing that I've ever seen!

(Can you see those pursed lips reading aloud?)

(Reading page by page...and yes, those are red toenails!)

(Pointing out all the important stuff.)

Hailey just might have a future in education like her Aunt Dana, Grandma, and Great Aunt Becky:) Becky, I knew you'd love that I slipped in the "great" word.

One of the other incidents, that won't be forgotten soon, showed me how quickly Hailey is growing up. I fussed at her about chucking her baby across the living room after I wouldn't play ring around the rosie for the 100th time. She stuck out her bottom lip, squeezed out a couple of tears, and then ran off to her room and slammed the door! She instantly turned into a teenager, at least for a few minutes. I didn't give in by following her and just as I predicted after a few minutes she emerged from her room with a grin on her face. Better luck next time, missy!

Ha, ha..yep,I just so enjoy being referred to as a "great" anything these days...thanks for reminding me Dana! Hailey looks like a true "natural" at teaching...who knows, she just may in fact end up continuing the family tradition! I can see her now dealing with behavior issues in the classroom and reminding the kids that SHE'S THE BOSS :-)
