Obama will be addressing the nation's school children at 12:00 pm on Tuesday the 8th. More information can be found at the official white house website. The Department of Education has made lessons and activities around address available at their website. I do not see this as an issue for social studies/civics classrooms, however, we have to make this address available to all students. Students are allowed to opt out of the viewing if they wish, but it will be televised to all that are interested.
I have to be careful with what I write, but I definitely have an opinion about all of this! What do you all think? Amy, go ahead and have fun with this one!
