Amazingly, I was able to keep two out of three mums alive for an entire year. I planted two yellow mums and one purple mum around our mailbox last fall, trimmed them down over the winter, and was shocked when they turned green and started growing again this spring. They've been getting bigger and bigger all summer and over the last two weeks have started to bloom. Unfortunately, the purple one did not make it, but I have two lovely yellow mums flanking the mailbox for this fall. Now all I need is a pumpkin or two to finish off the fall look.

Wow! That is amazing! Those mums are hard to keep alive! I went to Milmont this past week to pick up some, but I couldn't bring myself to buy them. I knew they would just die on me! I am too lazy to plant them!
