The floors are down, the baseboards are up, and the paint is finished. The only things left to do are finish up the desk and the closet. Jerry did a nice job sweeping up the rest of the basement last night, trying to get ahead on the major clean up that will be needed. I can't wait until everything is finished and the basement is back in order.
Our next project is to get a jump start on the lawn. Rich is going to get his dad's tractor to aerate the lawn and throw down an organic fertilizer as well as grass seed. There is a creek that runs along the bottom of our property and it irritates me to no end that our neighbors do not even consider the damage their fertilizers are doing to the lake by not considering the effects of runoff. At least we know we are doing our part!
Actually, since I first started typing this yesterday, the furniture has been moved in and the room is pretty much complete!
