Poor Maddie

TMI warning! Maddie had to have her teeth cleaned on Friday because her gums were infected. We were afraid that she would have to have some extractions, but luckily she didn't! Since she was already asleep Dr. W was able to remove two of the many fatty lipomas that Maddie had. One of the enormous lipomas on her hip and causing some problems for her when walking and lying down.

Here's where it gets good. Dr. W was a 6-8 grade teacher who decided she couldn't take the kids anymore and went back to vet school. I did the opposite; always wanted to be a vet, but then switched to teaching. Since she knows I'm way too interested in medicine than the normal person she actually saved the lipomas for me to see! I know, I know...gross. But, seriously, how cool is it that I got to see the result of the surgery and get to hear all the cool details? If you don't want to see the lipoma, don't scroll down:) I am sharing it only because I had to dispose of it...figured Rich would get freaked out if it was in the freezer. JK.
