Class of 2000

Yep, this is Rich we are talking about. He had his 10 year high school reunion on Saturday night, so we ventured to Orange County for a couple hours. I was already prepared not to know anyone, which was much easier than the alternative...being stressed about what to wear, how I looked, or who I'd run in to. This is probably why I didn't go to my own reunion a few years ago.

After an hour or so of literally not speaking at all and quietly absorbing the personalities and conversations around me, I found a group of Rich's high school friends that were very down to earth and easy to talk to. I even hung out with them and jumped right in on the gossip when Rich was mingling with others. It's amazing how quickly you can pick out the "snobby girls", "weirdo guy", and "I'll try anything to be your friend" types. I think all high schools must be alike in this respect.

While sitting at this table, I made a couple of new friends. One of which (Mina) I found out late in the conversation, is CARRIE fricken UNDERWOOD's personal assistant! How flippin cool is that? Of course I took my time before bombarding her with 800 questions, but I was able to learn lots of pretty cool information. Thank goodness for Facebook because I'm now connected with the inner circle:)

Back to the mundane details.... The reunion was held at a classmates' house in Orange. They did a fabulous job of setting up everything outside and providing plenty of food and beverages. The setting was beautiful and the weather was perfect! Rich only went to OCHS for two years, so he did not know everyone that was there. It was comical when someone would come up or he'd look around and ask "who the heck is that"?
