Snowstorm Part II

After putting a huge pot of homemade vegetable beef soup on the stove, it was time for all of us to venture outside for some fun before nap time. Rich decided to dig three doggie areas that were connected by a maze for the dogs to run around in. It was pretty fancy, with a hill in one area and a tunnel to run through in another. The dogs had a blast running in circles and it also gave Hailey a clear place to play in the snow. Our neighbors yelled at Rich through their screened door, "What the hell are ya doing out there?", when they saw him shoveling out half our front yard!

We had a blast playing in the snow, but didn't get to finish shoveling the driveway because Hailey needed to get warm. I guess it'll get done sooner or later, no rush. After a brief dry period, the snow is again falling fast and furious so I'll have to post another update in a bit! It looks like we've gotten another three inches!

(Poor Roonie! Rich decided it was a good idea to see if he could stand on the POWDER!)

(Rich making his doggie maze.)

(What a handsome fellow.)

(Dixie on the run.)

(Roonie could not get enough of running through the tunnel.)

(Where is Tankaroonie??)

(Roonie on two feet to check out the neighbors.)

(Maddie hanging out in the clearest area possible.)

(Hailey was so excited that she put her SANDALS on and ran out the door when she saw Rich shoveling. Don't worry, she only lasted about two minutes in her PJ's.)

(Now she is serious about playing outside.)

(Come on!)

(Hailey trying to maneuver the hill that Rich built in the doggie run.)

(Clearly having a blast!)

(SNOW!! She is getting into it now. We had to change mittens twice because her hand kept getting so wet and cold while digging into the side of the maze.)

(Tank is looking for Hailey.)

(Those cheeks aren't even red yet!)

(Aunt Dana and Hay Hay stopped for a minute before running through the maze again to chase the dogs.)

(Uncle Rich and Hailey checking out the view from up high.)

(Hmm, if it didn't work with Tank, do you really think it'll work with Hailey??? You can image the next scene, which I should have snapped a picture of.)

(So much fun!)

(Where is Hailey? Yep, that's her on the other side of the maze!)

(I'm getting screamed at for having the camera out instead of shoveling the driveway;))

(Hailey was content playing in the maze while both of us ended up shoveling.)

(It's just about that time.)

("Fun, fun, fun")

(The neighbor's side door.)

(Our backyard.)

(Our street, or at least where it is supposed to run.)

(What was left of our mailbox at 1:30 pm)

(Our house, so pretty in the snow. Guess it would have looked really nice if I had put the wreaths and lights up, oh well!)
