Nice Santa

Grandma and I took Hailey on an adventure to see Santa yesterday afternoon. Hailey was wide eyed as she got her first peak at Santa. She wanted to sneak through the fake snow and presents to get to Santa first and planned many escapes from us, but luckily did not make it far enough to ruin any pictures.

Of course once when it was our turn to sit on Santa's lap Hailey changed her mind about how exciting he was. She did hold his hand briefly before taking a seat on my lap to listen to Santa read a book to her. Keep in mind there was a long line behind us of people who were actually planning on buying a picture during this scene. It didn't seem to bother Santa at all as he proceeded to read the ENTIRE T'was the Night Before Christmas story. I'm sure the crowd enjoyed seeing my underwear, just as I enjoyed the burn in my quads, as I squatted next to Santa for the entire story! Hailey ended up giving Santa a hug before we left and seemed quite pleased with the visit, afterall there were no tears and Santa was quite accommodating.

Julie picked Hailey up this morning to get Christmas pictures taken with her sister and cousins. I'm fairly confident that after our experience yesterday Hailey will probably sit on Santa's lap today if the crew ends up visiting him again. Next year should be even easier!
