Summer Plans

For as long as I can remember, I haven't really had any summer plans other than working my butt off.  Last summer I worked a ton, then we had to adjust to the kids, and Bill passed away.  It was not the best, that is for sure.  This summer I am dealing with a whole new beast...what to do with two teenagers for two months?!  It sounds like social services is going to come through with some funding as far as camps go for a couple of weeks and they will be spending 10 days with their grandmother, but other than that we'll have to figure things out.  I spent a good two hours research camps, getting scholarships for the kids, and then playing around with dates from June-August trying to coordinate everyone's activities.  It is not an easy task.

As far as work goes, I may do summer school which was just cut to three weeks, and I think that is about it.  I don't want to be as stressed this summer.  Rich gets out in May and then he'll have a 4 week online class, but that is it as well.  Hopefully he'll be doing some side jobs and we'll have time to get things done around the house.

Jessica has been very picky about camp choices, but we have it narrowed down to an overnight camp that looks like lots of fun for two weeks and a week with Youth Group in August.  Evan is interested in being a Counselor in Training, which is a five week program so he would be at the same camp as Jessica, just for a longer period of time.  The 10 days they will spend in NY with their grandmother should be fun including a trip to the beach.  Now, I need to figure out something fun and relaxing for Rich and I to do while they are on the road!!  Any ideas?
