Call us Crazy...

...for going to Carter's Mountain the same day as Hailey's birthday party. However, my plan paid off. We got up at 6:00 am and were at the top of the mountain eating our apple cider donuts, picking out a pumpkin, and picking apples before the crowds arrived. I knew from our last few experiences that I would not be able to handle the thousands of people who descend on the mountain, so we got there when it opened and were out like trout before it got crazy. It was MUCH more enjoyable this way. We will definitely go back next year on a Sunday morning! I'm already on the second dozen donuts:)

(Happy to be by ourselves!)
