Before our Christmas break, I won two tickets to watch the JMU women's basketball team, who have been awesome this year. In fact, they beat UVA by 2 points just a couple of weeks ago. As part of my Christmas present I got two new JMU sweatshirts and Rich bought Hailey a very cute JMU polo shirt type dress. So last Thursday evening we broke out the purple and gold and headed to the game.
Hailey absolutely loved the game. I thought she would be up and down in her seat, but she was interested the entire time. Her attention, however, turned once she saw the cheerleaders! She wanted to meet them, so at half-time Rich took her down to the floor and she talked "Lauren's" ear off. I think Rich probably scared the poor girl, who looked like she was 16. I hope she was a freshman otherwise I really do feel old.
I think we are finally past the stage when Hailey is scared of costumes because she actually asked the Duke Dog to come over and give her five. However, when I tried to get a picture Rich handed her over the railing and she freaked out at the thought of the Duke Dog holding her:)
The women ended up winning by a landslide. We hope to catch another game soon!
