Father's Day

Beth, Rich's sister, came to visit last week and the short of the really LLLOOONNNGGG story is that she missed her flight Wednesday, then AGAIN on Friday, and Rich was finally able to get her on a plane Saturday morning. Rich helped Woodie move to Richmond on Friday and worked harder than he has in a long time! I'm just glad that I was working and didn't have to do any moving. I finished up my first pretty boring week at Odyssey Academy. I should not complain when I am getting paid good money to run out and pick up lunch and answer the phones. Summer school started today and I am hoping that the teachers filling in for me are following my plans and making it a fun experience for the kids.

Saturday we made BLT's and homemade potato salad, packed it up, and took it to my Mom and Dad's house for dinner. Hailey and the dogs played in the yard while we had a nice summer meal. It's too bad that we don't have a fence at OUR house because if we did, we would be outside eating every night while the dogs play.

Hailey has been obsessed with babies the last few weeks. Every time we see a baby, real or doll, she yells out "baby"! I went through my toys that were packed up in the basement and found two babies for her to play with. All weekend she fed and gave the babies "baba's", put them in her stroller, put them to sleep, etc. It is hilarious to watch her burp the baby, cover it with a blanket, pat its head, and then put her finger to her lip and say "sshhh", "sshhh", "night night". I'll have to post a video of her soon:)

On Sunday we went to Mi Rancho for Father's Day lunch. Hailey went home for a nap with her dada while we took off for the 'burg. We saw Hangover with my parents. It was hilarious...right up Rich's alley of favorite movies. He was bent over laughing in tears by the time we left the theater...not so much because it was funny, but because it was funny to watch my mom watch the movie. HA I don't think anything beats watching her watch Super Bad though!
