A quick update on Hailey...she got tubes put in her ears on the 5th and is doing well, minus the screams when we put drops in her ears! Unfortunately, she has a horrific diaper rash as a result of being on antibiotics for her ear infections. Just looking at the rash made me cringe, but hearing her say "my butt, my butt" was even worse. Poor thing! The only positive that I can think of in this situation is that she is now telling us when she has to go potty. We thought about getting a potty for her last weekend, but then decided we should wait until Julie started training her. We would have been right on time because yesterday Hailey told Rich that she had to go and ran to the bathroom. He put her on the big potty and she went! Mike bought some pull-ups yesterday, so we'll see what happens next weekend! Julie is on board for starting the training this week.
For Mother's Day Rich, Hailey and I went to Charlottesville and had lunch at Stick's with Mom, Dad, Becky, and Shannon. Mike had to work a double so he was unable to go. We then went to Mimi's house for a bit and she was able to spend some quality time with Hailey. Then we took a trip up 29 to Bill and Carol's house to wish Carol a happy mother's day. It was a LONG day, but we were able to visit everyone!
Rich and I spent several hours last night reviewing for his last exam, History 122. He is on his way to take it as I type. After two weeks off, he'll be back at it for a full load in the summer! I will have a full load as well--Odyssey Camp, Summer School, CAI development, and the EduStat conference.
