Today was the big day, the presidential election of 2008! Although we tried to keep the blog free of political punches, we have really enjoyed the political banter at home, at work, and with our friends. Rich and I watched all of the debates, laughed out loud at all of the SNL skits, and had good fun listening to our very opinionated friends take their stance. In the end, we ended up a split household. The girls of the house broke out their red attire for the day and Voted-for-the-Chick, while the boys dressed in blue. Every other day of the year the pups all have their red on, but somehow Rich persuaded Tankaroonie to Barack-the-vote.
On a serious note, it is very encouraging to see so many people out and excited about making a difference. No matter what the outcome is tonight, we believe there will be more confidence by all because we had a chance to have our voices heard. Hopefully that confidence along with some reform will help the economy because we know first hand how bad it is out there!
