Carter's Mtn 2012

Unfortunately we weren't able to keep our date with Leigh and crew tomorrow due to nasty weather and sick kiddos, so spur of the moment this afternoon we decided to head up to Carter's Mountain to pick some apples with Hailey and Jess.  Evan was busy getting ready for Homecoming so he missed out.

I was quickly reminded why we get up at o'dark thirty to get there when they open.  The lines were a hundred people long and their donut makers couldn't keep up with the demand, not to mention a 20 minute trek up the traffic clogged mountain.  It wasn't all bad though...apple picking was great and we divided and conquered to pay for our loot.  As usual we inhaled a couple of donuts on our way down the mountain and came home with tons of apples - braeburn, fuji, golden delicious, and granny smith.

Can't wait to make some clean eating desserts!!

So many rotten apples on the ground that Hailey had to hold her nose!

Excited after she got over her fear of being held up so high.

Laughing, but yep that's a tear...someone Rich knocked her head into a branch.
