The BOAT!!

Good lord, what else can I say about this boat? It has been a heck of a summer trying to get it refurbished and running, but Rich and Evan put in hours upon hours of time to get it done.  July 30th was the second anniversary of Bill's passing so Rich had extra incentive to get the boat done by the end of July.  He didn't quite make it, but this past weekend everything finally came together.  I am very proud of his hard work and know that Bill is looking down with a huge grin!

Finishing up the work

Very proud of themselves

The trailer had to be sanded and repainted....it was a hot mess of rust and was pretty dang ghetto looking.  It also received new LED lights and wiring.  The boat received a new gel coat as well as paint, the weather stripping was removed and bleached, new carpet was laid, new seats were installed, etc.  A huge undertaking for anyone to take on, but it was worth all of Rich's hard work and sweat.  She is now a shiny beauty equipped with an extra seat just for Hailey!

Shiny!

Ready to go!

"Oh yeah, that is my seat in the middle!"

We took the boat out to Lake Anna on Sunday and had a blast.  The motor had a few issues, but nothing like in the past.  It was super comfortable due to the new seats and carpet.  We attempted to fish a little, but didn't catch anything.  Hailey was more interested in going "faster and faster and faster!!"  She has no fear.

I'm sure there will be plenty more trips in the coming weeks!

Fueling up
We're on a boat!

Here fishy fishy

Umm, can we start moving again? It's hot!

"That's what I'm talking about!"
