The long wait....

We have been trying to get pregnant for over two years now. It has been a long difficult road, but we trust that God has a plan for us. Here is a brief history of our struggle for those of you who are interested. These are the major procedures/tests that we have undergone. Once you add in all of the office visits, ultrasounds, and lab work it is a bit overwhelming! Thankfully, we've taken our time and taken breaks when we need them.

-8/06 office visit to find out what is taking so long (been doing the ovulation predictor kits/temperature readings etc.)

-9/06 blood work completed for me (high FSH levels) and semen analysis completed for Rich (count = big fat zero)

-10/06 HSG (hysterosalpinogram) test shows no blockages

-11/06-1/-07 continued testing for Rich means many trips to the urologist

-1/07 Rich is referred to an endocrinologist, no answers

-3/07 Clomid Challenge Test for me, everything looks good

-4/07 a cycle with Clomid, no luck

-8/07 IUI after taking Clomid, BFN (big fat negative)
-1 decent follicle
-did not ovulate on my own, so HCG injection was given at home
- 6 million total/1 million transfered with morphology of 4%

-10/07 Analysis
-10 million total, abnormal morphology

-11/07 Analysis
-15 million total, normal morphology

-11/07 Rich is put on Clomid (yes, supposed to be helpful for men as well)

-Taking a break to see what the Clomid will do over 3 months, Spring '08 counts have improved somewhat

-3/08 IUI with Clomid (days 5-9) for stimulation, HCG injection
-1 good follicle
-total 53 million!, 11 million transfered, 5% morphology
-BFN!

-4/08 IUI (two IUI's back to back this time)
-doubled dose of Clomid (days 5-9), HCG injection
-2 good follicles
-1st IUI - 40 million total, transfered 8 million, 4% morphology
-2nd IUI -38 million total, transfered 9 million, only 2% morphology
-BFN!

-Told to take a few months off because of emotional toll, probably a very good decision.

-7/08 IUI (two times)
- I'm switched to Letrozole (days 3-7), followed by HCG injection
-FOUR good follicles!
-1st IUI- 8 million total, 3.2 million transfered, 2% morphology
-2nd IUI- 12 million total, 2 million transfered, 4% morphology
-BFN!

-8/08 Another HSG test, all clear

-8/08 IUI (two times)
-Letrozole (days 3-7), followed by FSH injection day 9 (2 amps), HCG injection
-3 or 4 good follicles!
-1st IUI- .9 million total, .3 million transfered (yes, only 300,000!), 4% morphology
-2nd IUI- 1.3 million transfered, 4% morphology
-What's the deal with these numbers?!?
-still awaiting results......keep your fingers crossed
