...For my poor dad! He was in the ER on Tuesday and then ended up having surgery to put two stents in place. The kidney stones are too large to pass....one of them is 6 mm by 7mm, so he is going back to the doctor tomorrow and then for lithotripsy on Tuesday. However, because he has them on both sides they can only do the lithotripsy on one side at a time. The second side can not be done for 3 weeks because it is too much for the body to handle. In the meantime, he is on tons of pain medication and can not do anything because he has to relieve his bladder every 15-20 minutes. Terrible.
I am hoping that the lithotripsy helps so that they can remove one of the stents and give him some pain relief. I guess we will see what the doctors say tomorrow! Keep him in your prayers!
